Fennel Over Winter, the new frontier from Bernardi production

Grow fennel throughout the winter months and harvest it in spring? Impossible… but not for the Bernardi farm!

2024 was a year of big news for the Bernardi farm, which, in addition to new protected crops, experimented with this innovative fennel cultivation technique: some varieties are transplanted at the end of autumn to make a 150-day cultivation cycle and harvest in spring. An innovative challenge, which hardly anyone had tried before but which yielded excellent results.

This made it possible to have raw material in a difficult growing period, when production in the south is at an end and in the north spring transplanting has not yet started, thus ensuring scalarity of harvest and production.
